Why does machine grade stretch wrap break on a pallet wrapper?

Common causes include damaged carriage rollers, excessive tension, sharp load edges, poor roll handling, wrong pre-stretch setting or a film specification that does not fit the application.

Should buyers choose higher pre-stretch automatically?

No. Higher pre-stretch can reduce film use in the right system, but it must be tested for breaks, containment and load movement on the actual wrapper.

What wrapper information is needed?

Provide machine brand, model, carriage type, pre-stretch percentage, film tension setting, wrap pattern, line speed and current roll specification.
