Set a reorder point using actual consumption

A Riverside stretch wrap supplier should help you compare the approved film specification and replenishment requirements together. Record cases used per working day, normal lead time and the inventory needed during a busy shift. A starting calculation is average daily case usage multiplied by replenishment days, plus a separately agreed safety stock. Count usable stock rather than damaged or partially consumed rolls.

For multiple warehouses, assign each location an approved roll specification and a receiving contact. Do not assume that the same nominal gauge gives the same roll yield: compare net film weight, roll length, width and the number of accepted pallets wrapped.

Match film to the pallet and shift

Use hand film for manual wrapping stations and machine film for compatible pallet wrappers. Pre-stretched film can be evaluated where operator effort and repeatability matter. Trial the proposed roll on normal loads; record film breaks, rewraps, applied weight and load condition after handling.

For San Bernardino and Riverside operations, a standing specification makes repeat orders easier to review. Send the current roll label, weekly consumption, wrapper model when relevant and the receiving ZIP code. Ask for the quoted lead time and delivery charge before scheduling a changeover.
